Potts<\/strong> is a nationally recognized playwright, dramaturge, and scholar.\u00a0 Alumna of Columbia University\u2019s School of the Arts (MFA, Playwriting), and The Graduate Center, CUNY (Ph.D., Theatre), she is also a member of the Dramatists Guild.\u00a0 Other honors include:\u00a0 Eugene O\u2019Neill Center Playwriting Fellow and Kennedy Center\/American College Theatre Festival\u2019s \u201cLorraine Hansberry Award\u201d for her play <em>Miss Nowhere Diner<\/em> (Dramatic Publishing Company).\u00a0 She is co-founder and Managing Director of Akad\u0113meia Theatre Company, which
